Position Overview:
Cushman’s Paint & Body is a family-owned and operated auto body shop seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Human Resources Director to oversee and manage all HR functions for our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and is comfortable managing payroll, benefits, hiring, and overall HR operations in a small business setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws
- Oversee employee benefits, including health insurance enrollment, changes, and employee support
- Lead hiring and onboarding processes, including job postings, interviews, and new hire paperwork
- Handle employee relations, including disciplinary actions, terminations, and conflict resolution
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations
- Coordinate and manage company insurance policies, including shop and liability coverage
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with company values
- Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and concerns
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in Human Resources, Office Management, or a similar role (HR leadership experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of payroll systems, benefits administration, and employment law
- Experience with small business operations is highly preferred
- HR certifications (such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) are a major plus
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or payroll software
