Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Los Angeles, CA. The Early Intervention Specialist will work directly with young children and their families, implementing tailored intervention strategies to support developmental progress. Day-to-day tasks include conducting developmental assessments, creating individualized plans, applying evidence-based practices such as Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and collaborating with families and interdisciplinary teams to ensure success. The role requires consistent documentation, participation in training sessions, and adherence to CurtisCARE’s mission and compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Experience in Early Intervention and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
- Knowledge of developmental psychology and working with young children
- Expertise in working with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD)
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to successfully implement family-centered approaches
- 16 ES Units, Associates, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Development, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field
- Experience in inclusive education practices is a plus
- Knowledge of California Title 17 and DDS Early Start programs is preferred
