Optometric Technician / Medical Scribe (Will Train)

Salary: $17.00–$20.00 per hour

Curtis Eye Care Optometrist in Byron Center, MI, is looking for a full-time Optometric

Technician / Medical Scribe to join our friendly and fast-paced team. We are a privately

owned practice located at 2155 84th Street SW. Our ideal candidate is attentive,

ambitious, and engaged.

Schedule

Monday–Thursday: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

Friday: 9:00 AM–4:00 PM

Approximately 3-4 Saturday mornings per year.

Responsibilities

 Set up and sanitize exam rooms

 Perform pre-testing for patients

 Enter dictated information into EHR software during patient visits

 Manage correspondence to and from other providers

 Provide consistent, exceptional patient service

Qualifications

 Previous medical or optical experience preferred but not required

 Willing to train the right candidate

 Familiarity with medical equipment preferred

 Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

 Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient interaction skills

 Ability to learn new software quickly and accurately

 Ability to document accurately in EHR medical software

 Office Mate / Exam Writer experience is a plus, but not required

 Strong English usage, spelling, grammar, and editing skills
