What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Transcriptionist/Scribe position at Natural Health Improvement Center?
The Natural Health Improvement Center has an hourly position available for an Executive Assistant/Scribe.
A medical background is preferred and having a genuine interest in integrative medicine is a plus!
We will only consider candidates who will work onsite. Candidates must be highly proficient in spelling, grammar, typing, and Microsoft Word.
The hours for this position will start as Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 8:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m. during training, then reduce to ~30 hours per week and based on the provider's schedule.
Hourly wage is negotiable based on experience; medical insurance is available after 90 days.
General Duties and Qualifications
- Assist the physician in completing progress notes during office visits while maintaining professionalism in sensitive situations, and strict compliance with HIPAA privacy standards
- Assist in gathering information needed during the office visit, determine what information is necessary for the progress note
- Edit dictations
- Input new patient health history
