Role Description
Curry College has ongoing needs for part-time Faculty to teach in our Nursing Programs. We have a variety of track options including the traditional undergraduate program; accelerated Second Degree BS in Nursing (ACCEL), Accelerated Entry MSN, RN to BS Completion and post licensure MSN with concentrations in nursing education and administration.
Part-time Faculty are responsible for planning and presenting the material assigned for their courses and/or clinics/labs; defining specific requirements and communicating them to students; evaluating clinical performance, examinations and/or assignments, submitting grades promptly, and providing students with clear explanations of their evaluations. Part-time Faculty are expected to be available to interact electronically with students outside the classroom.
Courses available may include Pathophysiology, Transition to Professional Nursing; Pediatrics; Maternity; Pharmacology; Health Assessment; Medical/Surgical; Mental Health, Population Health. The days, hours and location vary depending upon the course. There is often a need for faculty to instruct the clinical portion of our nursing courses.
Qualifications
For Classroom teaching, a minimum of a Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) degree is required. Prior teaching experience preferred.
For Clinical, Lab and Simulation based instruction, the requirements are 2 years of full-time nursing experience within the last 5 years and either an MSN degree or:
hold a BSN and be matriculated in a graduate nursing program with an expected graduation date within five years of the date of the appointment;
or possess a related non-nursing graduate degree;
or possess a current nurse education certification by a board recognized certifying organization.
In certain cases, candidates holding a BSN and possessing five years of full-time nursing experience within the past eight years may be considered but must be matriculated in a graduate nursing program within 1 year of appointment with an expected graduation date within 5 years of the date of matriculation or achieve nurse education certification by a board recognized certifying organization within 3 years of appointment)

Salary:
$3,735 per 3 credit course
