Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Front Desk Staff role located in the Springfield, Illinois Metropolitan Area. The Front Desk Staff member will greet patients, check them in and out, manage waiting room flow, and provide a welcoming, professional first point of contact. Responsibilities include answering and directing phone calls, scheduling and confirming appointments, verifying basic patient information, and collecting payments or co-pays as directed. The role also involves maintaining organized patient records within the practice’s computer systems, handling incoming mail, and supporting the clinical team with administrative tasks. The Front Desk Staff member will uphold patient confidentiality, assist with daily office opening and closing procedures, and contribute to a clean and orderly front office environment.
Qualifications
- Strong customer-facing abilities, including Customer Service and Communication skills, to interact professionally with patients and colleagues.
- Front desk and Receptionist Duties experience, including greeting visitors, managing check-in/check-out, and handling basic administrative tasks.
- Professional Phone Etiquette for answering, routing, and documenting calls in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Basic to intermediate Computer Literacy, including using scheduling software, email, and electronic records or office applications.
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in a medical, chiropractic, or wellness office is preferred but not required.
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable attendance, punctuality, and the ability to work assigned part-time hours on-site.
