What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Director for Child Development Center position at CURREY INGRAM ACADEMY?
Currey Ingram Academy is seeking a full-time Assistant Director to join our Child Development Center.
Key Responsibilities:
- The Assistant Director position has both administrative and teaching responsibilities. Administrative responsibilities include supporting the Director with maintaining student records, managing facility operations, supporting families and teachers, and standing in for the Director when they are off-site.
- Teaching responsibilities include teaching enrichment classes as scheduled and covering in classrooms as needed. Our program is not specialized for specific learning needs, and a background in special education is not required.
Two years of college training or a Department of Education recognized credential and two years of school-age care documented work experience in a group setting OR High school diploma and two years of school-age care documented work experience in a group setting.
The Currey Ingram Child Development Center is an Infant - Pre-K childcare program that serves the children of academy faculty and members of the surrounding community. The CDC places an emphasis on outdoor education and offers a dynamic enrichment program that includes gardening, cooking, foreign language, music, and movement. Teachers are provided with curriculum and are supported with a mentor.
Preference is given to candidates who have experience working with these specific age groups as well as early childhood education credentials, or their equivalent. The Assistant Director will be paid Hourly or Salary depending on experience and credentials.
