What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Health Safety Specialist position at Curran Recruiting?
We’re hiring a Site EHS Specialist to support Environmental, Health & Safety initiatives within a fast-paced distribution center environment.
This role will partner closely with site leadership and employees to promote a strong safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, identify and reduce workplace hazards, and drive ongoing EHS programs and training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support site safety programs, policies, and procedures
- Conduct safety audits, inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and applicable environmental and safety regulations
- Deliver safety training and promote employee engagement around EHS initiatives
- Track safety metrics, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions
- Partner with Operations and site leadership to proactively address workplace hazards
- Support emergency response, workers’ compensation, and return-to-work processes
What We’re Looking For:
- 3 years of EHS/Safety experience, ideally within a distribution center, warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety practices
- Experience with incident investigation, safety training, audits, and corrective actions
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both frontline employees and leadership
- OSHA, ASP, CSP, or other safety certifications are a plus
