We are seeking a Senior Interior Designer to join our growing team and lead construction-heavy residential projects, particularly kitchens, baths, and custom millwork. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who can take ownership of the technical direction of multiple large-scale projects. Job Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Lead full-service residential design projects from concept through completion.
- Oversee construction administration, ensuring design intent is executed flawlessly.
- Develop detailed floor plans, elevations, millwork drawings, and finish schedules.
- Manage kitchen, bath, and built-in millwork design including cabinetry, stone, tile, and fixtures.
- Coordinate with contractors, architects, and fabricators to resolve site details.
- Create client presentations and proposals; support design and procurement coordination.
- Mentor and guide designers, ensuring design accuracy and technical excellence.
- Represent the firm during client meetings, site visits, and installations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in high-end residential design with hands-on construction management.
- Proven expertise in kitchen and bath design, custom millwork, and detailing.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit or SketchUp a plus), project management software, and Google Workspace.
- Strong project management, communication, and client-facing skills.
- Familiarity with NY/CT construction standards and codes.
- Valid driver’s license and consistent access to a car.
Preferred
- NCIDQ or ASID certification.
- Experience with new builds or gut renovations.
- Familiarity with Studio Designer or similar software.
- Advanced knowledge of finishes, lighting, and cabinetry.
- Experience designing for families and balancing beauty with function.
