We are looking for a talented Warehouse Operator to join our team in Dedham, Massachusetts.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Under direct supervision, follow established procedures and guidelines to receive, handle, store, perform system transactions and dispatch goods in a factory or warehouse.
- Check for damage and for discrepancies between goods and invoices.
- Accurately sort, label, store goods and arrange storage to optimize warehouse space.
- Pick, pack, and dispatch incoming and outgoing goods according to written or verbal requests orders.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery.
- Maintain clean and orderly work area, including routine housekeeping tasks and machine cleaning tasks and perform planned operator care and maintenance tasks as needed.
- Adhere to all our relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to their Supervisor.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Minimal work experience required, Warehouse experience preferred.
- Must be able to physically lift up to 50 pounds, comfortable working at heights wearing required personal protective equipment.
- Forklift and/or other warehouse machinery operating experience preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to effectively communicate in a positive and professional manner.
- Please note, this is a fast-paced warehouse environment, there will be a lot of standing and lifting.
- Experience working in a Union environment preferred, ability to look up parts and utilize Courier platforms for shipping.
Education, Licenses, Certifications
- High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
- Requires Cummins provided certification to operate powered industrial vehicles (reach trucks, order pickers, pallet rider, etc.).
