- Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
- Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
- Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
- Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
- Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
- Maintain own tools
In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Completes complex internal engine repairs
- Performs engine overhauls unassisted
- Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components
- Proficient experience with engine diagnostic software
Core activities unique to this role:
- Need to be open to Beyond the Engine diagnostics and repairs such as Chassis and Expanded service work
- OEM and chassis certifications
- Current Commercial Drivers License
- Brake certifications
- DOT inspection certified
- Transmission certifications
- A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire
- Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older
- This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.
