What are the responsibilities and job description for the Anticipated -- Learning Support Teacher (26-27 School Year) position at Cumberland Valley High School?
The successful candidate for this position must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Education (Special Education / Elementary Education), with valid and active Pennsylvania Teaching Certifications in Special Education (PK-8 and/or PK-12). This position is a special education teacher position designed to support special education professional staffing needs across the district. The position is expected to instruct in direct reading instruction, math instruction, executive function needs, and social emotional needs. The position will have case management duties.
Three to five years of teaching experience is preferred. Experience and working knowledge of collaborative instructional practices with regular education staff as well as Direct Instruction experience teaching replacement skills (Reading, Writing, Math, Executive Processing, and Social Emotional Skills) to mastery is desired. The professional candidate(s) selected for this assignment understands and agrees that they may be required to teach in a blended or online format as requested by administration.
