OBGYN Physician

Job Functions/Responsibilities:
- Provides outpatient obstetrics and gynecology services thought assigned clinic locations.
- Provides inpatient obstetrics and gynecology services, including infant delivery and related surgical procedures, at partner hospitals.
- Performing a wide range of tests, including pap smears, pelvic, and breast exams.
- Diagnosing and prescribed treatments for disorders and diseases.
- Conducting routine check-ups on patients.
- Monitoring and treating expectant mothers during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum.
- Maintains the required productivity expectations for time spent in a clinic.
- Participates in administrative duties, including lab reports, charts, and medication refills reviewed and managed appropriately.
- Perform other duties as assigned or as needed.
Experience:
- Working with underserved populations is highly desired.
- Certification through the Drug Enforcement Agency and valid licensure in the State of Kentucky are required.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified.
Education:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology (American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology or equivalent)
- Active and unrestricted Kentucky medical license (or eligibility for licensure)
- Current DEA registration and Kentucky Controlled Substance License
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Other Skills:
- Must be able to secure credentialing through identified agencies (Medicare, Medicaid, etc.).
- Effective oral and written communication skills required with a model motivating personality toward patients, colleagues, Medical Assistants, and other support staff.
- Experience with Electronic Health Records systems and keyboarding skills required and must be able to work some evenings and Saturdays.
Schedule Requirements:
Full-time position, 100% clinic-based, in person work required.
Work schedules are set at the discretion of CFMC and may be adjusted at any time based on the operational needs of the organization.
