Location: Russell Family Medical Center - Pediatrics

Six-month full-time paid training program with completion leading to full-time CMA position

This program will provide education on anatomy and physiology, medication administration, basic pharmacology, procedures, and more. Job Functions/Responsibilities:

• Participate in Certified Medical Assistant training courses and clinical experiences with an experienced preceptor in the clinical setting. (Online coursework will constitute approximately 20% of weekly time, with clinical training being approximately 80% of weekly time.)
• Course and certification test costs are covered by CFMC, with a 30-month employment commitment following certification.
• Consult with and keep supervisors informed of clinical activities, needs, and problems related to patient care.
• Complies with established patient care standards.
• Maintains established clinical policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control.
• Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe environment.
• Cooperates with other personnel to achieve department objectives and maintain good employee interdepartmental and public relations.
• Greetings patients and escorts them to the exam room.
• Takes and records vital and patient medical information in chart.
• Prepares patient room for exam.
• Assist Provider in procedures as necessary.
• Completes ordered lab procedures.
• Administer IM, Sub Q injections to include immunizations.
• Wound care and suture removal as directed by Provider.
• Communicate results of all procedures and tests to Provider.
• Discharge patient to receptionist.
• Cleans and disinfects exam rooms after use.
• Restock supplies, linens, equipment, and checks for defects and outdated.
• Maintains professional growth and development through seminars and educational sessions are required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• CPR Certification.
• CNA certification.
• Maintain required continuing education courses.

Schedule Requirements:

Full-time position, 5 days per week, 100% clinic-based, in person work required.

Work schedules are set at the discretion of CFMC and may be adjusted at any time based on the operational needs of the organization.
