The Administrative Professional provides essential administrative support that helps keep daily operations running smoothly and ensures the community receives timely, professional service.
In this position, you will support the Code Enforcement Division with a variety of administrative and operational responsibilities related to permitting, code enforcement, records, customer service, and departmental processes. You will work closely with staff, residents, property owners, and other stakeholders while helping ensure County policies, procedures, and ordinances are consistently followed.

- Provides comprehensive clerical and administrative support to ensure efficient and timely departmental operations.
- Answers and directs telephone inquiries, provides general information, and refers individuals to appropriate departments or agencies.
- Responds to public inquiries regarding code enforcement procedures, ordinances, complaint processes, zoning regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Assists citizens with completing applications, forms, and other required documentation.
- Resolves routine customer concerns and refers complex issues to appropriate Code Enforcement staff.
- Coordinates information sharing with internal departments, external agencies, contractors, and utility companies regarding property violations and compliance efforts.
- Prepares correspondence, certified mail, and other outgoing communications; receives, sorts, and distributes incoming mail.
- Maintains organized filing systems and assists with special projects and departmental initiatives.
- Serves as the Code Enforcement Division contact for public records requests, coordinating with other units to ensure information is verified and provided in accordance with applicable laws, policies, and timelines.
Knowledge of office practices and procedures
Knowledge of office software and applications to the administrative environment
Knowledge of accounting methodologies, accounts payable and receivable and payroll procedures in County government operations
Knowledge of the County’s personnel policies and procedures
Knowledge of a wide variety of administrative policies, procedures, and laws in support duties and tasks
Ability to provide support to other support or program staff; ability to set work priorities and organize duties and tasks
Ability to gather and give information on departmental programs based on inquiries
Ability to analyze processes, procedures, and policies and formulate recommendations
Ability to communicate effectively; ability to be tactful and courteous
