Culver Franchising System, LLC is looking for a Staff Accountant to support the Finance and Accounting team by administering the company expense program, assisting with system financial reporting and analysis, processing account transactions, supporting the gift card program, and ensuring accuracy and operational efficiency.
Essential Functions:
Administer the Company Expense Program
- Review and process team member expense reports in accordance with Culver Franchising System policies and ensure accurate coding to our accounting system
- Investigate and resolve any expense report discrepancies
Ensure accurate occurrences are recorded for trips and financial reporting
- Provide expense reporting training to new team members and refresher training to current team members
- Administer accurate access and hierarchies in the expense reporting system
Assist with System Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Engage and share responsibilities with the financial reporting consolidation team by reviewing and analyzing franchisee financials statements
- Perform additional analysis on unreconciled accounts for corrections and communicate with franchisees and accountants on items that need additional review or submission
- Onboard new users to the system in accordance with Culver Franchising System policy
Process Accounting Transactions
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for multiple accounts
- Prepare weekly cash deposit
- Prepare, reconcile, and record accounting transactions including insurance funding, Be Our Guest coupon reimbursement, Culver’s In-House Storefront, and Culver’s Foundation customer invoices
- Provide additional reconciliation support as needed for special events, accounting close, and audit
Support Gift Card and Credit Program
- Complete necessary requirements to onboard new restaurants to receive credit and gift card payments and process any ownership changes
- Process gift card batch activations for franchisee locations
- Provide customer service and support to guests and franchisees in relation to gift cards, promotions, and credit transactions
- Support additional inquiries and analysis for the gift and credit programs
Requirements:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred
- One to three years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Applied understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Proficient in Excel, and in creating complex formulas, tables and pivot tables

Starting Pay Range: $52,000 to $60,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
Classification: Exempt, full-time position.
