ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - CANNABIS CONSULTANT

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented Cannabis Consultant to join our team. Cannabis Consultants are the most caring people on the sales floor. Upon entry, it is expected that all guests be greeted in a warm and outgoing manner, and for first time visitors they are given a tour of the store and have a better understanding of all products available and the transaction process.

To “deliver happiness from seed to store,” they must take a disciplined approach in making sure they follow the sales process from start to finish, being mindful of both the overall customer experience as well as compliance with local and state regulations.

As a Cannabis Consultant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our clients and assisting them in finding the perfect cannabis products to achieve the effects they are looking for. This is a retail position based in Long Beach, where you will have the opportunity to communicate with customers and showcase your sales skills.

Duties:

· Greet customers and assist them in their product selection process.

· Provide product knowledge and educate customers on the effects and benefits of different cannabis products pieces.

· Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and preferences.

· Bilingual skills in English and are preferred to cater to a diverse customer base.

· Review orders with customers and confirm all products and quantities are correct to ensure order accuracy.

· Save the sale and direct the customer towards the cashier for check-out.
Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including restocking merchandise.

· Maintain flower tables and inform Inventory Controllers/Shift Leads about item outages or broken pods.

· Communicate sold out products to Shift Lead/Inventory Controllers

· Communicate inventory and pricing discrepancies to Shift Lead / Inventory Controllers

· Maintain organization of sales bins to reduce inventory discrepancies.

· Water & nurture all greenery to match the presentation of the store.

· Support cashiers by packing orders to fulfillment while adhering to brand appropriate standards.

Downtime Tasks

· Review Weedmaps/Culture e-commerce/Leafly and look for inaccuracies, such as: missing THC percentages, inaccurate product descriptions, low quality product images, items no longer in stock, etc.

· Update Competition Pricing Sheet.

· Assist Inventory Controllers with adding/updating product descriptions to Treez.

· Update/maintain Flower Cheat Sheet.

· Supporting cashiers by gathering the items purchased and consolidating them in a bag during guest checkout.

Qualifications:

· Previous experience in Cannabis Industry is preferred.

· Strong communication skills.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

· Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.

· Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.

· Ability to work well within a team and collaborate effectively with colleagues.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
