Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of high-quality coffee and non-coffee beverages, including espresso drinks, teas, smoothies, and specialty drinks with precision and care
- Operate POS systems to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders promptly, and addressing any questions or special requests with enthusiasm
- Maintain cleanliness of the coffee area by regularly cleaning equipment, counters, tables, and food handling surfaces in accordance with food safety standards
- Manage cash handling responsibilities including processing cash transactions and giving accurate change while adhering to cash security procedures
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling baked goods or light snacks to complement beverage offerings
- Support the team during busy periods by managing time effectively and multitasking between drink preparation, serving customers, and cleaning duties
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience or food service experience is highly preferred; familiarity with coffee shop/restaurant operations is a plus
- Proficiency with POS systems for retail transactions
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude and excellent communication abilities
- Basic math skills for cash handling, processing transactions, and giving correct change
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts
- Experience in beverage service, drink preparation, or coffee experience is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
