Overview
We are seeking a professional, organized Front Office Coordinator with a strong medical front office background. The ideal candidate will have experience assisting VA and workers’ compensation patients, coordinating appointments, verifying information, and supporting daily front office operations.
Qualifications:
- Strong medical front office experience required
- Experience with VA and workers’ compensation patients required
- Orthopedic office experience strongly preferred
- Systemedx EMR experience strongly preferred
- Medical records release experience preferred but not required
- Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills
Duties
- Provide excellent customer service while managing check-in and check-out procedures.
- Schedule patient appointments using electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Verify insurance coverage, process payments, and handle medical billing and collections with attention to detail.
- Maintain and update patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinic confidentiality policies.
- Review clinical documentation for completeness and accuracy; assist with intake forms and medical records management.
- Coordinate communication between patients, providers, and staff via phone calls, emails, and in-person interactions while practicing professional phone etiquette.
Skills
- Proven experience with EMR/EHR system
- Knowledge of medical terminology, coding (ICD-10, CPT), insurance processes including Medicare and health insurance policies.
- Ability to multitask in a busy clinic environment while maintaining attention to detail; clinic experience preferred.
- Familiarity with medical billing procedures, health information management standards, and electronic health records management.
