Senior Center Manager - Good Hope

The Cullman County Commission on Aging is accepting applications for Senior Center Manager for the Good Hope Senior Center. This employee oversees the programs and services and assists with food services to the participants. Recruits and supervises assigned staff and volunteers. Maintains and completes daily and monthly records and reports. Completes other duties as needed and as assigned.

Requirements For Position

• Must possess the ability to joyfully provide assistance to seniors.
• Must possess the ability to read, understand and comply with policies.
• Must have and understanding of insurance and government regulations related to seniors, and the ability to assist seniors with paperwork while providing Medicare Part D Counseling.
• Must possess the ability to organize activities and programs, and maintain the required reporting.
• Must hae the ability to communicate effectively with supervisor, co-workers, program participants, volunteers, and the general public.
• Must have the ability to supervise assigned Senior Center Staff and volunteers.
• Must have the ability to operate a computer, neatly prepare various reports, and report on program statistics.
• Must be able to deliver meals to homebound seniors when needed.
• Mus be able to meet health standards regarding meal preparation.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's License and have a driving record that meets the County's insurance company's minimum standards.
• Must have the ability to work non-traditional hours as needed.
  
  

This is a **Safety-Sensitive' position.**Successful candidates **must pass a pre-employment drug test**and will be subject to **random, unannounced drug testing throughout their employment**with the County in a 'Safety-Sensitive' position.

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and 4 years work related experience including working with retirees and seniors preferred; however, any combination of education and work experience which provides the characteristics listed will be considered.
