Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for an Electrical Engineer 4. The work will be done onsite in Griffin, Georgia. This is a 12-month position that can lead to permanent employment with our client. Compensation is up to $53.00/hour full benefits (vision, dental, health insurance, 401k, and holiday pay).
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the design, development, and release of electrical subsystems for Caterpillar's standby power solutions. This role is responsible for developing electrical component and subsystem designs, creating Creo models, supporting product releases, and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with electrical power system design, Creo modeling, and Teamcenter in a product development environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, model, detail, and release electrical subsystem and component designs for standby power solutions.
- Develop electrical power system designs from concept through detailed design, release, purchasing support, build support, and commissioning.
- Create and maintain Creo models and engineering documentation.
- Design AC and DC power distribution systems, including 480V and 208/120V electrical systems.
- Collaborate daily with local and international engineering teams to meet project requirements and timelines.
- Support engineering project leads and electrical team leads by developing subsystem designs that meet customer requirements.
- Investigate design issues on the manufacturing floor and provide engineering support during product builds.
- Ensure designs meet quality, safety, manufacturing, and customer requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Electrical Engineering Technology (BSEET).
- Associate's degree considered with 12 years of highly relevant experience.
- Master's degree considered with 6 years of highly relevant experience.
- 8 years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency with Creo Modeling, AutoCAD, and Teamcenter.
- Experience designing 480V and 208/120V AC power systems, power distribution, and DC electrical systems.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience working on cross-functional engineering projects in a manufacturing or product development environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Creo Cabling and Creo RSD.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking.
- Familiarity with J1939 and RS-485 communication networks.
- Experience supporting standby power, industrial equipment, or heavy machinery products.
- Previous experience supporting product release, manufacturing, and commissioning activities.
