Description:
Cuero Regional Hospital is seeking a FT Billing Manager.
Position Summary:
- The manager is primarily responsible for billing, claims, and AR for hospital and clinics.
- They file claims, process denials, work AR and perform follow up and appeals.
- They have the knowledge to download any 835's Remits and process.
- They assist all billing clerks by reviewing AR days in each payor category to assure appropriate follow up.
- They process any ADR's in a timely manner working with the Director to assure documentation and to support medical necessity can be found and submitted.
- They assure all denials are worked in clearinghouse daily.
- They perform office duties in the department including:
- Inventory,
- Ordering supplies,
- Accepting payments,
- Answering phone calls
- Assisting with any billing inquires.
- The manager works on various projects such as RHC reporting, cost reporting and all audits, coding invoices, etc. for clinics and hospital.
- They help interview and onboard all new hires within the department.
- The manager helps manage the office in the Director's absence.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Minimum: High school graduate/GED
- Preferred: Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree or 3 years' experience in a medical supervisory role
Qualifications:
- Minimum:3 years' experience in a medical supervisory or lead role
- Minimum: 1 year in medical billing
- Preferred:3 years' experience in a medical supervisory role with knowledge of:
- general patient accounting
- rules and regulations of Rural Health Billing
- HIPAA
- OSHA
- third-party reimbursements
PTO available after 90 days; EIL available after 6 months
