SLAM / Spatial Perception Engineer (Deployed Robotics | US Citizens Only)
We’re looking for a robotics engineer focused on SLAM and 3D perception for a deployed industrial robotics platform.
6-month contract with strong extension potential. Immediate start.
Onsite in Reading, Connecticut (hybrid onsite requirement). US citizens only.
What you’ll do
You’ll own localisation, mapping, and spatial understanding for a real-world robotics system.
Responsibilities
- Build and integrate SLAM pipelines (visual, lidar, or visual-inertial)
- Work with point clouds: filtering, registration, segmentation
- Integrate depth and spatial sensors into ROS 2
- Use tools like RTAB-Map, ORB-SLAM, Open3D, PCL
- Manage sensor fusion and coordinate transforms (TF)
What we need
- Strong applied SLAM / 3D perception experience
- ROS 2 experience (TF, sensor integration, system design)
- Python strong, C practical knowledge
- Hands-on point cloud processing experience
- Must be a US citizen
Salary : $90 - $100
