Engineer – Mechanical Component Engineering (Fuel Cell Systems)
📍 Windsor
We’re hiring a Mechanical Engineer to work on component engineering within a fuel cell power system.
This role sits within the Mechanical Balance of Plant team, focused on key hardware like pumps, valves, heat exchangers and instrumentation.
You’ll be working on real products, not just design work. Testing, validation and solving problems in production and in the field are a big part of this role.
What you’ll be doing
- Select and specify mechanical components for fuel cell systems
- Work with suppliers to source or develop parts
- Run performance testing (flow, pressure, durability)
- Build and use test rigs
- Troubleshoot issues in the factory and in the field
- Carry out root cause analysis and implement fixes
- Support cost reduction and continuous improvement
What they’re looking for
- Mechanical or Chemical Engineering degree
- 2–5 years’ experience (flexible)
- Experience with pumps, valves, heat exchangers or similar
- Hands-on testing or validation experience
- Comfortable working with suppliers
- Background in manufacturing, automotive, energy or similar
Nice to have
- Fuel cell or hydrogen experience
- Electro-mechanical systems exposure
- Experience working in a production environment
