Job Title: Planning & Reliability Engineer – PV&V (Product Verification & Validation)
Location: Onsite Horicon WI
Contract: 12 months
Pay Rate: $40/hr
Work Type: Onsite / Floor Presence Required (as needed)
Role Summary
As a Planning & Reliability Engineer within the Riding Lawn Equipment PV&V team, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing testing programs across design validation, lab testing, and field validation activities. This role is focused on program management of testing activities (not hands-on testing), ensuring alignment between design engineering, lab teams, and validation engineers.
You will act as the central coordinator for PV&V activities, tracking progress, analyzing results, and ensuring timely execution of validation plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, plan, and execute PV&V test strategies for product development programs ranging from components to full machines
- Coordinate testing and analysis activities across design, lab, virtual, and field validation teams
- Track and manage testing programs, schedules, deliverables, and dependencies
- Lead execution of PV&V plans including virtual analysis, lab testing, and field validation
- Assign and review work performed by PV&V engineers, lab technicians, and mechanics
- Ensure machine performance and reliability align with product specifications
- Provide technical coordination support to:
- Product Engineering
- Manufacturing
- Quality
- Supply Management
- Marketing teams
- Act as a communication bridge between design and validation teams
- Perform critical analysis of test data and program progress
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Agricultural Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Strong experience in product development or verification & validation testing
- Proven project management and program coordination experience
- Advanced Excel proficiency (must be demonstrated in work history)
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Self-starter with ability to work independently
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to interpret and present technical information clearly
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with data analysis and PV&V processes
- Familiarity with Riding Lawn Equipment or similar mechanical systems
- Experience with structured problem-solving methods:

- Exposure to:
- Software testing
- Vehicle testing
- Lab, field, and validation testing environments (VDV, PS&C, etc.)
