Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Onsite Moline IL
Contract: 12 months may extend
PR: $35 - $42/hr
Job Purpose
Location: Waterloo Works – Tractor Operations, Waterloo, IA
Shift: 1st Shift, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM; minimal overtime
Work Type: 100% onsite / shop-floor environment
Experience: Entry-level/recent graduates considered; candidates with 2 years of applicable experience preferred for the higher rate
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or equivalent relevant experience; GPA preferred on resumes for recent graduates.
Role Summary:
The PDP Manufacturing Engineer – Assembly will support manufacturing and assembly operations within the tractor production environment. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to resolve production/manufacturing issues, support process improvements, and assist with engineering activities on the factory floor. Approximately 50% of the time will be spent on the shop floor/on feet, and candidates must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
Key Skills: Manufacturing/production, problem-solving, teamwork, communication, engineering fundamentals, and knowledge of manufacturing, quality, tool design, maintenance, facilities, or distribution. Experience with Creo View/3D modeling, AutoCAD, SAP, and Microsoft Office is preferred. Project management and conflict-resolution skills are also desirable.
Additional Requirements: Metatarsal safety boots required from Day 1. Candidate may drive a John Deere-owned Gator inside the factory after completing safety training and may occasionally use their personal vehicle to travel to facilities within a 20-mile radius. No visa sponsorship is available now or in the future.
