Description:
- The Customer Business Manager is accountable for the end-to-end delivery of Operations & Maintenance (O&M) services
- This role ensures contract compliance, asset reliability, KPI performance, and customer (LAWA) satisfaction while maintaining a safe and efficient operating environment. The successful candidate will serve as the primary business interface with LAWA and key project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Contract Compliance & Governance
- Own execution of Project Agreement requirements and ensure compliance with availability and performance standards, maintenance obligations, and response times. Lead audits, reporting activities, and contractual interface with LAWA. Collaborate with project partners to deliver contractual obligations successfully. Develop and implement SOPs and EOPs. Serve as a critical thinker capable of leading and coordinating contractual meetings with key stakeholders including Police, Fire, LAWA, and rental car customers.
Business & Asset Management
- Oversee all Operations & Maintenance activities across critical facility systems including HVAC, BAS, electrical systems, vertical transportation, fire and life safety systems, and security systems. Ensure effective work order management, preventive maintenance execution, lifecycle programs, and asset reliability. Manage subcontractors and service providers to ensure service delivery excellence.
KPI & Performance Management
- Manage contract-driven performance metrics including availability and performance compliance, response times, maintenance backlog, quality, safety, and cost performance. Drive corrective actions, continuous improvement initiatives, and employee performance management programs.
Customer & Stakeholder Leadership
- Serve as the primary business interface with LAWA and the Project Company. Lead performance reviews and business meetings while providing clear reporting on operational performance, risks, and improvement plans. Develop and maintain strong, collaborative customer relationships.
Team Leadership
- Lead a multidisciplinary facilities management team and subcontractors. Manage staffing, workforce planning, training, employee development, and performance management. Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement while developing technical capabilities across the organization.
Required Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience in Facility Management, Infrastructure Operations & Maintenance, or related environments.
- Strong background supporting multi-system technical operations including HVAC, electrical systems, fire and life safety systems, and building automation systems.
- Proven experience in contract-driven environments (P3 experience preferred).
- Strong experience managing KPI-based performance programs and service level agreements.
- Experience leading large multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
- Strong contract interpretation, governance, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple site budgets and meet forecasted margins.
- Excellent communication, leadership, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting airports, transportation hubs, large infrastructure assets, or public-private partnership projects.
- Experience working within DBFOM contract environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Management, or related discipline preferred.
- Professional certifications in Facilities Management, Operations, Asset Management, or Project Management are a plus.
