Duties
- Operate the cash register efficiently, accurately handling cash, credit, and digital payments while maintaining a balanced cash drawer.
- Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and providing product information.
- Conduct retail sales transactions swiftly and accurately, ensuring each customer’s checkout experience is seamless.
- Assist with stocking shelves and merchandising to keep the store organized and inviting for shoppers.
- Promote products through upselling and product demos to enhance sales opportunities and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers remotely.
- Support inventory management by participating in stock counts and ensuring product knowledge is up-to-date for effective customer assistance.
Experience
- Previous cashier experience in a retail environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems and cash register operations is highly advantageous.
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs.
- Demonstrated ability to perform basic math accurately for retail math calculations and transactions.
- Supervising experience or leadership skills are beneficial for supporting team efforts during busy periods.
