The Marketing Manager is a dynamic and strategic leader who amplifies the credit union brand, deepens member engagement, and tells the compelling story of our credit union and its members. This role is ideal for a creative leader who thrives on innovation, collaboration, problem-solving, data-driven decision making, and purpose-driven marketing.

Brand Strategy & Storytelling

  • Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies that reflect the credit union’s mission, values, and member impact.
  • Craft compelling narratives that highlight member success stories, community involvement, and the credit union’s differentiators.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all channels and touchpoints.
  • Organize credit union events, manage press releases, and host member experiences to promote credit union values and impact.

Innovation & Member Experience

  • Leverage emerging technologies and data insights (both quantitative and qualitative) to create personalized, relevant, and engaging member experiences that differentiate the credit union.
  • Champion digital transformation initiatives that enhance marketing effectiveness and member satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align marketing with product innovation and service delivery.

Campaign and Budget Management

  • Lead multi-channel campaigns (digital, print, social, events) to drive awareness, acquisition, retention, and growth.
  • Monitor performance metrics and optimize campaigns based on data-driven insights.
  • Develop and manage marketing budget to maximize efficiency and ROI.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Manage and mentor marketing staff, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Member Services, Lending, IT, Community Development) to support strategic goals and initiatives.
  • Optimize use of external resources and vendors to drive strategic marketing efforts that enhance ROI and meet growth goals.

Compliance & Risk Mitigation

  • Ensure all marketing materials and campaigns comply with applicable regulations (e.g., NCUA, CFPB, CAN-SPAM, ADA).
  • Collaborate with Compliance team to review and approve marketing content and disclosures.
  • Stay current on regulatory changes affecting marketing/advertising in financial services, and monitor marketing activities for reputational risk and implement controls to mitigate exposure.
  • A differentiated brand experience that resonates with current and prospective members.
  • Increased member engagement and loyalty through authentic storytelling and personalized engagement.
  • Enhanced marketing ROI through innovative tools, analytics, and agile campaign execution.
  • Strong community presence and alignment with the credit union’s mission and values.
  • Marketing practices that are compliant, ethical, and risk-aware
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field (Master’s preferred) OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

2. Minimum five (5) years of progressive marketing experience, including 2 or more years in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in financial services and/or mission-driven organizations.

  • Proven success in brand strategy, digital marketing, and team management.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and project management skills.
  • Passion for community impact and member-centric service.
  • Strong analytics capabilities to support data-driven decision making.
  • Familiarity with financial services regulations and marketing compliance requirements.

  • Indoor office environment with standard equipment use.
  • Occasional lifting, up to 30 pounds; push and/or pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent standing, walking, and verbal communication.
  • Frequent visits to other branches across the island and some travel outside of the island as needed.
  • Occasional evening and weekend work required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
