Description:
The Group Controller leads global accounting operations and consolidation for a Nasdaq-listed, multi-jurisdiction group. This senior position oversees accounting policy governance, SOX/ICFR design and execution, and serves as a key liaison with external auditors, ensuring high integrity and compliance in all financial reporting. The role is hands-on, managing a fast-paced, post-IPO environment and ensures consistent U.S. GAAP application across entities.
Responsibilities:
- Own and direct the monthly, quarterly, and annual global close in accordance with U.S. GAAP, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
- Oversee group-wide consolidation including intercompany eliminations, foreign currency translations, and VIE consolidations.
- Review, approve, and ensure proper documentation of all significant journal entries, reconciliations, and close schedules.
- Design, implement, and maintain SOX-compliant internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR), including ongoing documentation and remediation.
- Serve as the primary contact with external auditors, managing interim reviews, annual audits, and supporting all audit-related requests and walkthroughs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required.
- 10 years of accounting experience, including Big 4 or top-tier public accounting firm background.
- Strong expertise in U.S. GAAP, group consolidation, and SOX frameworks.
- Proven experience in global, multi-currency, multi-jurisdiction environments.
- Successful track record in a fast-paced public company, preferably post-IPO.

- Experience leading accounting operations for a Nasdaq-listed company.
- Advanced knowledge of ERP and consolidation systems.
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and automation within finance functions.
