Group Facilitator

Position Summary

This role helps participants reach decisions and accomplish goals through group therapy. Your duties include working with groups to clarify

meeting content, objectives and to establish ground rules that govern behavior. Facilitator duties also involve selecting appropriate methods

and tools that will enable participants to achieve results. When problems or issues come up, facilitators work with the group to resolve conflict

and return to goals. Other duties as a group facilitator include creating environments that allow civil dialogue and input from all participants

and above all -- remaining neutral throughout the process.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities.

Build positive relationships with clients.

Facilitates groups ranging in size from 3-20 clients.

Provides for organized and structured groups.

Documents individualized notes in an electronic medical record system after each group.

Use evidence based interactive facilitation

Skills And Abilities

Experience facilitating group counseling sessions; motivational interviewing skills

Knowledgeable about compassion fatigue and burnout

Skilled in active listening

Ability to develop meaningful connection and empathize

Able to offer reassurance, practical assistance, psycho-education and emotional support.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Able to handle high levels of stress

Team-oriented
