Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of deli foods including slicing meats, cheeses, salads, and hot prepared items with precision and care.
- Assist customers by answering questions, offering product recommendations, and upselling items to enhance their shopping experience
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations; perform regular sanitation of work surfaces and equipment.
- Restock shelves, organize displays, and ensure the deli area is attractive and well-stocked at all times.
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple customers efficiently during busy periods while maintaining high-quality service.
- Support food handling procedures including proper storage, labeling, and rotation of products to ensure freshness and safety.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation or food service environments such as quick service restaurants, cafés, or grocery stores is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell products confidently while maintaining a friendly attitude.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment; multitask efficiently during peak hours.
- Kitchen or culinary experience is a plus; previous restaurant or grocery store experience highly valued.
