Field Service Tech (Truck, Aerial, Hydraulics, Electrical)
Custom Truck One Source (CTOS)a 30-year-old company with 40 locations across the U.S. and Canada—is seeking Field Service Technicians to be based on the Big Island or Oahu to perform maintenance and repairs on truck-mounted utility equipment, including service, boom, and bucket trucks, as well as forestry and other vocational equipment.
As a Field Service Technician, you’ll enjoy independence, variety, and the opportunity to work hands-on with some of the most critical equipment in the utility and construction industries.

You bring your mechanical expertise, your own tools, and a valid driver’s license (CDL preferred) we’ll take care of the rest
Requirement to be a Registered Certified Mechanic (diesel, heavy on-road equipment) issued by the Hawaii DCCA
What You’ll Do
You will be the go-to expert in your region. Diagnose. Repair. Maintain. Highly specialized truck-mounted equipment. Work hands-on in the field. Most jobs are completed on customer sites, where your skills keep critical equipment running.
In this role, you'll:
Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and on‑site diagnostics
Read and interpret manuals, schematics, and repair orders
Use laptops and diagnostic software to identify issues
Complete documentation accurately (repair orders, timecards, inspection forms)
Communicate with customers and CTOS teams to minimize downtime
Follow all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
Participate in ongoing CTOS and manufacturer training
Travel within and occasionally beyond your assigned territory

Preferred Skills
Electrical, hydraulics, welding, and schematic/blueprint reading
Diagnostic software experience (QuickServe, DTNA, etc.)
DOT, ANSI, and dielectric testing experience
Requirements
High school diploma or GED
5 years of related experience (field or shop tech)
Registered Certified Mechanic (diesel, on road heavy equipment) issued by: Hawaii DCCA
Valid driver’s license (CDL Class B preferred)
Must provide your own mechanic tools
