What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Diesel Equipment Technician - Utility & Aerial Systems position at CTOS - Trucks & Equipment?
Employer: Custom Truck One Source (CTOS)
Location: 4045 Highway Five, Cabot, Arkansas 72023
Day in the FieldSun up to sun down, you’re the go-to expert for keeping utility and pipeline equipment moving. One day you’re diagnosing an LMI fault on a digger derrick alongside a crew; the next you’re road-testing a hi-rail after a hydraulic repair. You operate from a CTOS-provided utility service truck equipped with a crane, welder, compressor, and company-issued phone and computer—everything you need to tackle on-site chassis and track-mounted aerials, cranes, material handlers, pole trailers, and more.
Armed with your own tools and a valid driver’s license (CDL a definite plus), you interpret manuals and repair orders, connect your laptop to run diagnostics (including CAN bus), complete work to CTOS standards, and document every detail—parts, time, and recommendations—before heading to the next call.
