Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Freight Broker located in Canton, MI. The Freight Broker will be responsible for facilitating freight movement by working with carriers and shippers, negotiating contracts, and providing excellent customer service. The role includes activities such as handling customer accounts, dispatching loads, and ensuring efficient and timely delivery of goods. The individual will also manage and grow relationships with clients to optimize their supply chain needs.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with Freight Brokerage and Brokerage operations
- Strong skills in Customer Service and Account Management
- Knowledge of Dispatching processes and practices
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills for both internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in using transportation management and related software is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in logistics or supply chain management is a plus
