AV Fabricator

Overview
We are seeking a skilled AV Fabricator to join our team! The AV Fabricator is responsible for the hands-on fabrication, assembly, and modification of components and systems for audio-visual installations. The role requires a mix of technical expertise in AV systems, craftsmanship, and adherence to industry standards as set by AVIXA. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of precision, creativity, and a deep understanding of AV technologies to the role.

Responsibilities

• Construct, assemble, and modify AV equipment and components, including custom racks, mounts, and structures.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and AV system schematics to accurately fabricate required components.
• Work closely with AV designers and engineers to understand and meet the specific needs of AV projects.
• Utilize a range of tools and machinery for the fabrication of AV components, ensuring work is done safely and to a high standard.
• Test and troubleshoot fabricated components to ensure they meet design specifications and AVIXA quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
• Collaborate with the installation team to integrate fabricated components into AV systems.
• Provide input on design and fabrication processes to improve efficiency and product quality.
• Stay current with new technologies and trends in AV fabrication and design.
• Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in AV fabrication.

Qualifications

• AVIXA CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) certification or equivalent professional experience in AV fabrication.
• Proven experience in AV fabrication, woodworking, metalworking, or related fields.
• Strong understanding of AV technology and industry standards.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents and drawings.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and fabrication machinery.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; further education in electronics, engineering, or related technical fields is advantageous.

Working Conditions

• Work in a fabrication shop environment with exposure to dust, noise, and various materials.
• Requirement to wear protective gear and follow safety guidelines.
• Physical demands include standing for long periods, lifting heavy objects, and manual dexterity.
• Occasional travel to job sites for consultation or integration support may be required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
