Overview
We are seeking a skilled AV Fabricator to join our team! The AV Fabricator is responsible for the hands-on fabrication, assembly, and modification of components and systems for audio-visual installations. The role requires a mix of technical expertise in AV systems, craftsmanship, and adherence to industry standards as set by AVIXA. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of precision, creativity, and a deep understanding of AV technologies to the role.
Responsibilities
- Construct, assemble, and modify AV equipment and components, including custom racks, mounts, and structures.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and AV system schematics to accurately fabricate required components.
- Work closely with AV designers and engineers to understand and meet the specific needs of AV projects.
- Utilize a range of tools and machinery for the fabrication of AV components, ensuring work is done safely and to a high standard.
- Test and troubleshoot fabricated components to ensure they meet design specifications and AVIXA quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
- Collaborate with the installation team to integrate fabricated components into AV systems.
- Provide input on design and fabrication processes to improve efficiency and product quality.
- Stay current with new technologies and trends in AV fabrication and design.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in AV fabrication.
Qualifications
- AVIXA CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) certification or equivalent professional experience in AV fabrication.
- Proven experience in AV fabrication, woodworking, metalworking, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of AV technology and industry standards.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents and drawings.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and fabrication machinery.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in electronics, engineering, or related technical fields is advantageous.
Working Conditions
