Warehouse/Material Handler Responsibilities
- Perform physical and administrative tasks involved in shipping, receiving, storing, distributing, and order fulfillment of merchandise, products, materials, parts, supplies, and equipment
- Check goods received and distributed against purchase orders or invoices; maintain records and reject unsatisfactory items
- Package and prepare products for final shipment; post weights and shipping charges
- Lift heavy items and operate forklift as required
- Prepare and maintain records of merchandise shipped
- Review customer orders, examine, stock, and distribute merchandise in warehouses, distribution centers, or manufacturing lines
- Manage non-inventory items for each business unit (moving, labeling, updating holding lists)
- Handle scrap items and coordinate with scrap supplier
- Manage storage requests for special projects/shipments
- Oversee warehouse storage management and space allocation
- Coordinate crating requests for special return materials authorizations
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, including ability to use hand tools
- General math skills (fractions, decimals, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Familiarity with SAP inventory management is a plus
- Ability to speak clearly and see/hear accurately
- Adherence to safety procedures when using hand and power tools
- Duties performed in confined areas within clean room environments, in awkward positions and/or elevated places
- Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and ability to lift/carry up to 35 pounds required
- May involve bending, stooping, crawling, climbing
- Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required
- Application of industry safety procedures when working with chemicals, electrical currents/high voltage, moving mechanical parts, radiation, etc.
- Occasional travel to TEL factories, training centers, and customer sites
- Specific vision requirements: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Extended use of clean room garments
- PPE required: safety glasses, safety shoes, protective cap
- May involve walking over 10,000 steps and climbing multiple staircases during a 12-hour shift
- Potential for occasional on-call weekend work
