What are the responsibilities and job description for the Autism Aide - Part Time position at CTA Community Supports?
We are immediately hiring a part-time Autism Aide! This position is available in our residential group home in West Jordan. You will be supporting 4 awesome men with Autism and other disabilities. No experience required!
Schedule available:
- Monday 2pm-9pm, Tuesday 2pm-9pm, Thursday 2pm-9pm, Friday 2pm-9pm (28 hours/week)
As an Autism Aide (aka Direct Support Professional/in-home caregiver), you will help the people we support achieve their personal goals and have fun while doing so!
The people we support love to have fun with each other and their staff! They love going on walks in the park, listening to music, visiting fun stores, and doing arts and crafts. The world needs to know how awesome they are, and you can be the one to make that happen!
We help our clients with daily activities, including chores, cooking, and personal hygiene (toileting & showering). All the training you need is on-site and paid. No previous experience necessary.
Applicants must be willing to drive clients in a CTA Company Vehicle (minivan), and meet the following requirements:
- Have a clean driving record
- Have a Utah Driver License
- Have 2 years of driving experience
- Be 19 years or older

Requirements:
- 19 years or older
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English
- Willingness to help someone with personal hygiene (brief/diaper changes)
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Reliable transportation to work
- Ability to lift 50 pounds from the floor
- Basic computer skills (Slack, Note Taking, Smart Phone Usage)
- Be outgoing, friendly, and have a positive attitude
- A desire to help individuals with Autism and special needs
