Electrical Engineer - Isotope Production
A growing organization in the advanced medical technology and isotope production sector is seeking an Electrical Engineer to take ownership across the full electrical engineering lifecycle from design and procurement through construction, commissioning, start-up, and operational support.
What you’ll do
- Develop electrical specifications, calculations, drawings, and test plans
- Support new construction, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and facility operations
- Partner with Procurement to source electrical equipment
- Provide technical guidance to contract engineers and Engineers of Record
- Support Construction through RFIs, engineering change requests, work packages, and document reviews
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, including I&C, Process, Nuclear, and Structural
- Work with electrical inspectors and Authorities Having Jurisdiction to ensure code compliance
What we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5 years of experience in low-voltage power engineering and design
- Working knowledge of NEC, Life Safety Code, applicable Building Codes, IEEE, and IEC standards
- Experience with conduits, cable trays, cable selection, terminal/connection drawings, panels, and panel design
Nice to have
- Experience designing electrical systems subject to NRC regulatory requirements
- AutoCAD Electrical or SolidWorks Electrical experience
- Familiarity with SCADA or PLC systems, preferably Allen-Bradley
- Greenfield project experience from design through construction and start-up
