Description:
You will oversee a team of three warehouse associates and will report directly to the Operations Manager, who will take you under their wing. Within 3-6 months, you will take full ownership of inbound logistics, order processing, fulfillment, distribution, and inventory management.
This is a highly hands-on role. About 50% of your time will be spent working alongside the warehouse team picking and packing orders, building pallets, unloading containers, and helping keep daily operations moving. The other 50% will be spent coordinating and managing the operations, including arranging delivery of containers from the Port of Houston to our warehouse, building container pallet lists, preparing Amazon FBA shipments, printing and sorting labels, processing orders, and using the forklift to restock pick locations.
This role comes with significant responsibility and a major opportunity for career growth. Your job is to ensure the team is meeting KPI’s and that operations stay lean and efficient. You will get your hands dirty on a daily basis. If that scares you, do not apply.
Primary Duties:
The following responsibilities focus on the operational and leadership side of the role:
- Inbounding Containers: Coordinate the delivery of containers from the Port of Houston to our warehouse. Build container unloading prep lists that detail the number of pallets needed to unload the container and the configuration of each pallet. Receive the goods in our inventory management system, Finale Inventory. Ensure sublocations are properly assigned to the pallets received. Schedule labor and lead the team during container unloading.
- Order Processing: Oversee order processing within ShipStation. Define and improve the existing process to minimize time - i.e., strategically assigning separate batches for single SKU shipments and multi-SKU shipments.
- Fulfillment: Oversee the pick and pack process, making sure all orders placed before 4 PM CST are shipped out same-day.
- Distribution: Plan and configure pallets to be sent to Amazon FBA. Guide and schedule warehouse workers to build those pallets. Make transfers within our inventory management system to maintain accurate stock levels at each warehouse location (our current warehouse plus Amazon FBA).
- Inventory Control: Take full ownership of the inventory management system. Oversee and guide transfers within the warehouse, restocking of pick locations, stock changes, and cycle counts, ensuring our inventory levels are 100% accurate in our inventory system.
Experience:
- 4 years of experience in fulfillment & warehousing for an e-commerce brand.
- Experience managing high-volume e-commerce fulfillment operations.
- Experience with fulfillment software (ex, ShipStation) and inventory management systems (ex, Finale Inventory) is required.
- Google Sheets wizard.
- You’re naturally analytical; you can synthesize complex information into concise, compelling recommendations.
- You’ve worked in a high-growth environment with constantly shifting priorities; you are a fast-paced learner and self-starter.
- You love to think big picture and strategize, but you can also roll up your sleeves and execute any project at hand.
Pay:
- $70K-$90K/year (based on exp) plus performance-based bonuses.
- Health, dental, and vision insurance.
Job Location:
- 4005 West 11th Street, Houston, TX 77055 (Close to I-10 and I-610)
Salary : $70,000 - $90,000
