Customer Service RepresentativeGas Detection Service & Inside Sales
CT Industrial Products is looking for a customer-focused, organized, and technically minded Customer Service Representative to support our growing Gas Detection Service Department.
This position will primarily focus on maintaining relationships with existing service contract customers, coordinating routine service needs, answering customer questions, and preparing estimates. The role also provides an excellent opportunity for someone interested in developing their skills in inside sales and technical sales.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and support existing gas detection service contract customers
- Communicate with customers regarding upcoming calibrations, service needs, and equipment status
- Coordinate routine calibration and service requests
- Prepare routine estimates and service quotes
- Answer incoming customer service and basic technical calls
- Help customers determine the appropriate calibration, repair, or service needed
- Schedule and follow up on customer service
- Perform or assist with general gas detection calibrations
- Maintain accurate customer, service, and equipment records
- Follow up on estimates and outstanding service opportunities
- Work closely with the service technicians to ensure customers receive timely and accurate service
- Assist with general customer service, order processing, and service department needs
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Organized and able to manage multiple customers and service requests
- Comfortable speaking with customers by phone and email
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn service and customer management systems
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to learn technical products and terminology
- Mechanical or technical aptitude is a plus
- Previous experience in customer service, inside sales, industrial equipment, or a technical environment is preferred but not required
- Gas detection experience is a plus—we will train the right person
