What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dispensary Technician position at CT Delaware LLC?
SUMMARY
This position is responsible for ensuring that our medical marijuana patients and recreational dispensary customers receive outstanding individualized and consumer-centered service in all their interactions with our dispensaries, which are licensed under the Delaware Office of the Marijuana Commissioner (OMC).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Ensuring that each patient and customer enjoys an outstanding consumer-centered experience;
- Engender a low-pressure, approachable environment for all consumers visiting the dispensary;
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge on all product offerings and apply that information to match products with the needs and preferences of each consumer;
- Overseeing and performing patient and recreational consumer intake and ID verification processes, including ensuring that all patients are registered through the OMC prior to entry; documenting patient visits and transactions consistent with company policies;
- Greeting and engaging patients and recreational consumers upon entry of service floor with sensitivity to meet each consumer’s level of comfort, knowledge and need for service;
- Ensuring that each consumer encounter begins with their particular circumstances, needs and preferences;
- Providing patients and recreational consumers with guidance regarding cannabis strains, prices, and the use of related accessories;
- Explaining product label information;
- Confirming purchase amounts before dispensing products;
- Dispense medicine per recommendation of counselor and patient request;
- Assisting patients and recreational consumers with and processing all transactions for sale of products via cash, debit and any other form of payment accepted by the company;
- Assisting with fulfillment of online pre-orders and orders as directed;
- Accurately and efficiently receiving, processing, and fulfilling product orders by utilizing the Point of Sale (POS) and inventory tracking systems in compliance with CT Delaware LLC, local and state policies;
- Communicating with non-patients, e.g., sales representatives, vendors, etc. to ensure effective dispensary operations;
- Maintaining knowledge of and compliance with company policies and procedures and state dispensary regulations;
- Routinely inspecting products for quality and compliance (including the maintenance of proper packaging and labeling);
- Preventing, detecting and reporting diversion of marijuana products and other company property;
- Communicating relevant information or messages to management;
- Maintaining consistent standards of excellence;
- Maintaining clean and orderly workstations and display cases;
- Reconciling register drawer cash and debit receipts at the opening and closing of each shift;
- Respect and protect patient confidentiality and related rights through compliance with company privacy and data security policies and procedures;
- Communicating patient and recreational consumer concerns to Dispensary Manager;
- Perform other duties as assigned by management and otherwise comply with company policies and procedures and OMC regulations; and
- Contributing to a safe, respectful, tolerant, and supportive environment for co-workers, patients, and recreational consumers free of discrimination, hostility, and abuse.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Prior experience in Cashier, Customer Service, and/or Sales environments.
- Comfortable with computers and Microsoft Office programs.
- Quick to learn new products, systems, and compliance procedures.
- Ability to process orders through computer systems and point-of-sale systems.
- High School diploma
- Delaware residency
- State and company background clearances
