The Document Services Specialist is responsible for printing and shipping/receiving services for the CSX Network. Responsibilities include ensuring print jobs are completed and shipped in a timely manner; mail and packages are received, distributed and shipped out appropriately and ability to prepare large scale mailings from set up to shipment.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Document Services Specialist is responsible for printing and shipping/receiving services for the CSX Network. Responsibilities include ensuring print jobs are completed and shipped in a timely manner; mail and packages are received, distributed and shipped out appropriately and ability to prepare large scale mailings from set up to shipment.
Primary Activities And Responsibilities
- Prepare printing or digital equipment according to job specifications.
- Operate, troubleshoot/perform routine maintenance, cleaning, lubricating, making minor repairs and program print related equipment (e.g. large scale printer, folder/inserter, envelope printer)
- Modify documents to create print-ready files (e.g. PrismaPrepare)
- Perform mail merge, postage and stuffing functions to complete mailing requests.
- Utilize various software to receive, process and complete work requests (e.g. SendPro, WebCRD) and manipulate data (e.g. mail merge, vlookup)
- Complete offline finishing for printed products (e.g. cutting, folding, stitching and binding)
- Sort incoming and outgoing mail as directed.
- Collect/distribute mail and packages.
- Ensure that paper, ink, and other supplies are properly stocked and ready for production.
- Adhere to all safety and environmental protocols when operating within the shop.
- Communicate with team members, supervisors, and customers to ensure work order meets expectations and deadlines, safety and security procedures.
- Sort incoming and outgoing mail; collect and distribute mail/packages.
- Educate customers on capabilities that offer cost savings and best meet their business needs.
- Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1 or more years of experience in mailroom environment
- Associates Degree in Print Shop
- 3 or more years of experience in mailroom environment
- Ability to operate various design software and hardware; a natural ability to visualize design, dimension, scale, and the skills to generate solutions for challenging jobs and volume of work.
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work well in high-pressured environments
- Ability to multi task and prioritize work
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong computer skills, including working knowledge of MS Office and e-mail
- Self-starting with the ability to focus on task at hand
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Frequently moves boxes weighing up to 50 pounds across office for various needs.
- Constantly positions self to maintain and move documents
- The ability to observe details at close range.
