What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate position at CSWI w/Subsidiaries?
Job Overview:
The Order Selector will primarily be responsible for picking and fulfilling orders. This is an on-site hourly position and will require a daily presence at our RectorSeal Earth City, MO facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in daily operations
- Pick customer orders accurately according to our Picking Procedure
- Wrap pallets
- Load trailer & containers
- Inspect product for damages, report as needed
- Follow all safety protocols and warehouse procedures
- Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment
- Equipment maintenance and upkeep
- Routine cleaning duties
- Interface with management to ensure key objectives are realized
- Listen and follow instructions from supervisor
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma (or equivalent)
- 3 years’ experience in Picking and Fulfilling Orders
- 3 years’ experience in operating Walkie Rider
- 3 years’ experience in operating Reach Truck
Preferred Requirements:
- Familiarity of use of shipping scanners
- Inventory systems proficiency: DSI & JDE experience a plus
Skills/Competencies:
- Proven work experience in warehouse setting
- Physical stamina and dexterity necessary for work, must be able to lift or move at least 50 lbs. unassisted and stand for prolonged periods
- Able to work independently and safely
- Proficient in speaking, reading and writing in English. Spanish a plus but not required
- Basic Arithmetic skills involving addition, subtraction, multiplication
- Computer Skills
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to a warehouse environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to use hands and fingers to type or dial, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and reach with hands and arms.
The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. This position requires computer use. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
