Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned with organizational goals to maximize profitability and growth.
- Oversee corporate accounting functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), and IAS (International Accounting Standards).
- Manage risk assessment processes, including SOX compliance (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), COSO framework (Committee of Sponsoring Organizations), and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Lead treasury management activities such as cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and banking relationships to optimize financial resources.
- Drive revenue management initiatives by analyzing market trends, developing pricing strategies, and supporting business development efforts.
- Supervise financial modeling, cost control measures, expense management, and profit & loss analysis to ensure fiscal discipline.
- Oversee mergers & acquisitions activities, including due diligence, valuation, integration planning, and negotiation to support strategic growth initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations through effective tax accounting practices and manage governmental accounting requirements.
- Lead the preparation of detailed financial reports and interpret complex financial data for senior leadership and board members.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by implementing best practices in financial software utilization and technical accounting standards such as ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition) and IFRS standards.
Experience
- Proven experience as a senior finance executive or CFO within a complex organization or non-profit sector with supervisory responsibilities.
- Extensive knowledge of corporate finance principles including budgeting, forecasting, risk analysis, and cost management.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, business analysis, and strategic planning to inform executive decision-making.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks such as SOX compliance, GAAP, IFRS, IAS standards, and governmental accounting practices.
- Experience managing treasury functions including liquidity planning and market analysis to support organizational stability.
- Skilled in managing mergers & acquisitions processes from due diligence through integration with excellent negotiation capabilities.
- Proficiency with advanced financial software systems and tools for financial report writing and interpretation.
- Exceptional leadership qualities with a track record of supervising teams effectively while fostering collaboration across departments.
- Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders while maintaining high attention to detail in financial report interpretation.
