What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2nd Shift Welder position at CSTH?
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled 2nd Shift Fabricator/Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in welding and fabrication, with proficiency in using power tools and machining equipment.
Duties:
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures and equipment according to engineering drawings and specifications
- Operate welding equipment to weld, cut, rig, and fabricate metal components
- Utilize FCAW and Plasma cutting techniques for metalwork
- Perform quality checks using tools such as micrometers
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or product specifications
- Conduct basic mathematical calculations for measurements and layouts
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Fabricator/Welder or similar role
- Proficiency in welding techniques including FCAW
- Familiarity with codes, standards, and regulations for welding practices
- Ability to use power tools, machining equipment, and hand tools effectively
- Strong understanding of basic math for measurements and calculations
