Job Summary
This remote role is responsible for driving business development efforts within the Mission Critical sector, with a focus on data centers and related infrastructure. The position involves identifying new opportunities, building strategic relationships with contractors, and expanding CST’s footprint in high-growth markets. Travel requirement is 50–75%.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead business development initiatives targeting Contractors, Mission Critical infrastructure, including data centers and high-demand industrial applications.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to grow market share.
- Maintain and update CRM systems with account details, opportunities, and pipeline metrics.
- Represent CST at select industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote brand and solutions.
- Serve as liaison between customers, regional teams, and CST technical personnel.
- Manage travel and expenses within budgetary guidelines.
- Prepare regular reports on sales activities, forecasts, and market insights.
Preferred Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business administration, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, or capital equipment sales.
- Proven experience in construction and/or data center infrastructure is highly preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, construction plans, and specifications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to solve practical problems and navigate complex customer environments.
- Capable of interpreting instructions in various formats (written, oral, diagrammatic).
Language Skills:
- Skilled in writing business correspondence, reports, and proposals.
- Comfortable presenting to executives, contractors, and industry stakeholders.
Other Skills and Abilities:
- Experience presenting quotes and estimates from customer specifications.
- Willingness and ability to travel 50–75% of the time.
- Public speaking and presentation skills.
- Access to personal transportation for travel.
