This role plays a critical part in validating data pipelines, ensuring that warehouse and reporting layers reflect trusted, high-quality information. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with data engineering and analytics teams to identify issues, enhance testing processes, and support successful data delivery. This is a SOW project opportunity located in Wilmington, DE or Philadelphia, PA, with a hybrid schedule requiring onsite presence at least three days per week.
Compensation:
$50–60/hr
Work Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM; onsite minimum 3 days per week in Philadelphia, PA or Wilmington, DE

Key Responsibilities of the Snowflake QA Test Analyst:
- Oversee end-to-end validation of data pipelines, ensuring accuracy and consistency from source systems through ETL/ELT processes into data warehouses and reporting layers
- Design and execute comprehensive testing strategies for data transformations, aggregations, and historical datasets to confirm alignment with business rules
- Perform detailed data reconciliation and validation using advanced SQL techniques to compare source and target datasets and identify discrepancies
- Track, document, and help resolve data defects by partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure timely issue resolution and improved data quality
- Validate reporting outputs, dashboards, and BI tools against underlying data sources to confirm reliability for business use
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and release readiness efforts, contributing to final validation and deployment decisions
- Hands-on experience testing data warehouses, with strong familiarity across modern platforms such as Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or similar technologies
- Advanced SQL capabilities, including complex joins, subqueries, CTEs, and analytical functions for deep data validation
- Solid understanding of data warehousing structures and concepts, including dimensional modeling and ETL/ELT workflows
- Experience working with data integration or orchestration tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, Databricks, SSIS, Airflow)
- Exposure to automated data testing approaches or scripting languages (such as Python or dbt) is a plus
- Strong analytical mindset with a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring data accuracy
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively while communicating effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
