Key Responsibilities of the Level 1 Help Desk:
- Deliver front line technical support by responding to service requests, troubleshooting issues, and resolving break and fix tickets in a timely manner
- Support system engineering efforts including client onboarding, on site maintenance, infrastructure planning, and disaster recovery testing
- Assist with network and security administration involving routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and related technologies
- Participate in an on call rotation and travel to client sites as required to provide hands on support
- Create and maintain clear technical documentation while managing multiple priorities in fast paced environments
- At least three years of experience in system engineering or advanced technical support, preferably within a managed services setting
- Previous help desk and customer service experience with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non technical users
- Working knowledge of TCP IP networking, routing, switching, and network security tools such as firewalls and VPNs
- Strong experience supporting Microsoft Server environments, Office 365, and Azure administration
- Valid driver’s license, access to a reliable vehicle, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and comfort working independently under pressure
