Job Title: Level 1 Help Desk

Job Overview:

Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Level 1 Help Desk to join our client to support day to day IT operations and ensure reliable technology services for a diverse client base. This direct hire position is based in Philadelphia, PA and follows a hybrid work arrangement. The role blends hands on technical support with exposure to system engineering activities in a managed services environment. This position is ideal for an IT professional who enjoys problem solving, client interaction, and contributing to stable and secure technology environments.

Compensation:

$50,000 to $65,000 annually

Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday during normal business hours

Key Responsibilities of the Level 1 Help Desk:

  • Deliver front line technical support by responding to service requests, troubleshooting issues, and resolving break and fix tickets in a timely manner
  • Support system engineering efforts including client onboarding, on site maintenance, infrastructure planning, and disaster recovery testing
  • Assist with network and security administration involving routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and related technologies
  • Participate in an on call rotation and travel to client sites as required to provide hands on support
  • Create and maintain clear technical documentation while managing multiple priorities in fast paced environments

Qualifications and Skills for the Level 1 Help Desk:

  • At least three years of experience in system engineering or advanced technical support, preferably within a managed services setting
  • Previous help desk and customer service experience with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non technical users
  • Working knowledge of TCP IP networking, routing, switching, and network security tools such as firewalls and VPNs
  • Strong experience supporting Microsoft Server environments, Office 365, and Azure administration
  • Valid driver’s license, access to a reliable vehicle, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and comfort working independently under pressure
