Founded in 2015 in the Greater Boston area, CSPC focuses on delivering professional translation and interpretation services, training support, and travel management support. We've been involved with American Sign Language Interpretation since 2022 and currently provide Interpreters for the Department of Veterans Affairs and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. We are expanding our ASL operations and are interested in connecting with Interpreters interested in exciting careers in the government sector!
Positions Description: The Interpreter will work within the Diamond Elementary School, which is part of the Department of Defense Education Activity and educates the children of service members stationed at Fort Stewart, GA. The Interpreter will provide in-person ASL Interpreting services for Deaf or Hearing-Impaired students to ensure the meeting of Individual Education Program objectives. Services will be required from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays and school district downtime, such as fall or spring breaks. Services may be required during Summer School, which spans 20 days from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of one year experience interpreting for elementary aged children in a school setting
- ASL Interpreting Certification: Bachelors Degree in ASL; NIC/NAD; K-12 Interpreting License
- Fluent in English
- Capable of passing a criminal background check
- Possess basic computer skills
- 18 years of age or older and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
